Spot It! Child Safety Standards

Spot It! is a wildlife spotting and social discovery application developed by Light Work AI. We are committed to maintaining a safe environment for all users and have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) content on our platform.

1. Zero Tolerance Policy

Spot It! maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content that exploits or endangers children. Any such content discovered on our platform will be immediately removed, and the associated account will be permanently banned.

2. Content Moderation

We employ the following measures to prevent and detect CSAE content:

• AI-Powered Content Review: All uploaded photos and videos are processed through automated content moderation to detect inappropriate material.
• User Reporting: Users can report any content or behavior that appears to involve the exploitation of minors directly within the app.
• Manual Review: Reported content is reviewed promptly by our team, and appropriate action is taken, including content removal and account suspension.
• Community Verification: Our community review system provides an additional layer of content oversight.

3. Reporting Mechanisms

Users can report child safety concerns through the following channels:

• In-App Reporting: Use the report feature available on any post, comment, or user profile within the app.
• Email: Contact us directly at nicholas.wickboldt@light-work.ai with the subject line "Child Safety Report."

4. Response Procedures

Upon receiving a report of potential CSAE content or activity, we will:

• Immediately remove the reported content from the platform.
• Suspend the account of the offending user pending investigation.
• Report the incident to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other relevant authorities as required by law.
• Cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations.
• Permanently ban confirmed offenders from creating new accounts.

5. Age Requirements

Spot It! is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will take steps to remove their account and associated data.

6. Data Handling for Child Safety

When CSAE content is identified:

• Content is preserved solely for the purpose of reporting to authorities, as required by law.
• All associated user data is retained only as necessary for law enforcement cooperation.
• Content is not distributed, shared, or made accessible to any party other than relevant authorities.

7. Compliance

Spot It! complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

• The PROTECT Act (United States)
• 18 U.S.C. § 2258A - Reporting requirements for electronic service providers
• Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
• Google Play's Child Safety Standards Policy

We report to regional and national authorities as required by law, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

8. Staff Training

All team members involved in content moderation and user safety are trained on identifying and responding to CSAE content, including proper reporting procedures and legal obligations.
