Anhinga
Anhinga anhinga
BirdsConservation: Least Concern
Sometimes called the snakebird, the anhinga swims with only its long, thin neck above water and spears fish with its dagger bill. Afterward it perches with wings spread to dry, since its feathers aren't waterproof.
